About Atma Centre
It took multiple attempts to find a name that I felt captured the essence of my Ayurveda practice. But I kept coming back to Atma Ayurveda. The word "Atma" can be directly translated to "Soul" - the self that exists without mind and body. The self awareness that exists in complete darkness and silence. Knowing your true self, enlightenment, the all pervasive energy. Atma.
Ayurvedas primary focus is to create balance with mind, body, soul and senses, so one can contemplate on the purpose of life and attain self realisation.
The symbol represents:
- the panchamahabhutas,(either, air, fire, water and earth) - the building blocks of our existence.

About Sidharsha
I was born in South Africa, moved to New Zealand in 1999. In my primary school years I realised my passion was to help others when it came to health, as it bothered me how much ill health hindered quality of life. In 2010 I moved to Canberra where I completed my Bachelors of Medical Science (2014). While working at Cardiac Telemedicine, I started to wonder what we were missing? There must be signs and symptoms the body shows before disease presents? That's when I stumbled on a book about Ayurveda in Blacktown, Sydney. After reading the first page it resonated with my thoughts on spirituality and health. I quickly learnt about doshas, prakruti, vikruit, signs and symptoms, daily routines, the medicinal properties of herbs in my kitchen, the incompatibility of certain food groups and eating for your aggravation.
In my first few months studying Cert IV in Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation, I had already begun to see huge changes in my health. I used to suffer with crippling period pain and constipation that would leave me blocked for days. Before Ayurveda I was lead to believe that living with period pain was normal and something I would have to get used to. It has now been 7 years without period pain and constipation and all I had to do was change my diet and lifestyle according to my Vikruti (imbalance) and keep on top of the signs and symptoms my body presented. I went on to complete my Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda in 2018, at Australian Institute of Holistic medicine, Perth. I became a practitioner at the college, started a home clinic, presented on Ayurveda self care, I mentor Ayurveda students and have now established Atma Ayurveda.
Through asana, meditation, sound healing, and pranayama, I cultivate an environment for growth, self-discovery, and healing. I teach in a way that promotes awareness of the mind and body's current abilities, along with its future possibilities. My asana classes are focused primarily on strengthening, restoring, and alignment, highlighting the mechanics of the human body, delivered in both English and Sanskrit. I aim to be a positive advocate of the yogic lifestyle that I am so passionate about and reflect that in my teaching.
I have a drive for continued education and always finding new and better ways to help my community.
